|The end of 2019 saw our ‘Good Works’ TVC for Vinnies go to air country wide.
After a successful pitch in July last year, OPTIKA partnered with Creative Agency, United Yeah to produce an ad campaign that would bring awareness to all the good work St Vincent de Paul (Vinnies) does as a charity.
The challenge in this campaign was touching on all the varied and vast ways Vinnies helps people in need, covering this in 30 seconds was always going to be a challenge.
UY came up with a fitting solution with the creative, enabling the commercial to feature on a number of scenes to depict Vinnies’ areas of support.
‘Good Protects’ – Domestic violence support
‘Good Feeds’ – Vinnies food trucks for the homeless
‘Good Shelters’ – Shelter for the homeless
‘Good Listens’ – Support for the disadvantaged
‘Good Supports’ – Addiction support and services
The final scene ‘Good gives’ was written as a call to action, asking the Australian people donate to the charity.
Bringing the creative to life required in a wall-to-wall, fast pace full-day shoot in Sydney. One of the wettest day’s our team has worked in! We bounced across 5 locations to capture the diversity and contrast required to bring the creative to life.
We cast actor and long-time supporter of the St Vincent de Paul Society, Noni Hazlehurst, to voice the advertisement. Editing was handled in-house at Optika.
